Presentation by Letron electronic GmbH at the electronica 2010.

NPI- Added value at the product development phase focused on your local EMS service provider.

'New Product Information' was the main theme at the ZVEI forum during the electronica 2010. Mrs Susanne Mackensen-Eder (Sales Director) spoke about the further development of EMS companies from PCBA subcontractors to competent EMS-Full-Service Providers. Customers experience their added value through reduction of process costs, savings and a shorter product introduction phase.

Letron GmbH supports these important stages with a range of product services including development, consultancy and prototyping.

The electronica 2010 was a complete success.

Letron electronic GmbH maintained its accreditation to DIN ISO 9001:2008 and ISO TS 16949:2009 with certification from DQS.

DQS especially confirmed Letron's quality policy, which is mainly focussed on sustainability of highly customer oriented service products and process transparency.

Especially emphasised by DQS was the professional and strategic corporate development, seldom practised in an organisation of this size.

For Letron electronic GmbH the highlighted potential of DQS as an external independent accessing body is a very important ingredient to the accreditation. Derived from this are the complex measures to company optimisation.

The technical and scientific forum for design, printed circuit boards and sub-assemblies took place from 16th to 18th September 2010 in the Schwabenlandhalle, Fellbach near Stuttgart.

Themes from design to business management were offered under the motto of 'Integration and Efficiency' in 4 seminars, 16 workshops and 48 presentations.

In the thick of the action was Letron electronic GmbH, as a competent partner, always ready to answer your questions on the theme 'EMS-Full-Service'.

We will be pleased to talk to at any opportunity of your convenience, alternatively further information is available by following the below link to the FED homepage.

Presentation by Letron electronic held at the forum during the SMT Hybrid Packaging in Nuremberg.

is a service packet to introduce product innovation into serial production optimally. Early involvement by using the know-how of an EMS organisation in the design phase saves time and money and increases the quality of the product.

From 'PCBA Subcontractor' to 'EMS-Full-Service Provider'
During the presentation of Frau Mackensen-Eder the continual development of EMS competence over recent years was recognisable. Complex technology has increased cost pressure resulting in an on-going trend to outsource, division of labour and the concentration on core competence. For this reason EMS companies like Letron electronic GmbH have become a valuable partner during the product introduction phase.

NPI- Together on a winning course
The goal of an EMS partner is to convert the product innovation of their customers into a successful serial production.  Important is the trust of the customer in the skills and reliability of the EMS partner. NPI requires continuous improvement of all processes and the permanent exchange of information between the partners from design for manufacturing to design for logistics. Especially Letron electronic GmbH stands for a mutual success by its innovative prototyping concept.

Use your capacity and our strengths!
This could be the summary of the presentation.  Important is to interlock with competent EMS partners like Letron electronic GmbH and to use this competitive edge in good time, in order to build a bridge between research and development and to obtain a feedback from the Continuos Improvement Process.

By incorporating an EMS provider in good time at the product introduction stage immediately results in improvements by a reduction in the period 'time to market', enhanced by cost and quality optimisation, risk reduction. This all certainly generates a significant competitive advantage.

Cost effective PCB Design

Letron electronic workshop:

Sustainable Cost effective PCB Design with Added Value

Participants from Breisgau to the Baltic Sea, travelled to Osterode on the 6th May 2010 to take part in the workshop.

Faster, higher, further that is the goal of Olympic athletes. The world of electronic development has taken the slogan of our athletes to provide cost effectiveness as a target for PCB design.

To this end, Lectron electronics demonstrated a workshop to cover those specialised subjects, tailor made for developers, layout designers and design engineers.
Under the heading of cost effectiveness for PCB design our team invited customers and interested parties to a widely varied workshop session. The main objective was to provide an exciting and memorable day for all guests with different knowledge and experience levels.

Identify cost factors - experience processes - offer individual solutions - Network development - Exchange of ideas

External speakers from the Fraunhofer Institute ISIT and PCB manufacturer GGP set out criteria for potential cost savings based upon practical and scientific foundations.
The following GGP and Letron Electronic factory tours substantiated the relevance of the preceding theories. Finally all participants and lectures can enthusiastically look back upon a day of substance and success.

SMD assembly

Letron electronic invests for the future

With the installation of new system modules into the SMT line, the SMD assembly is substantially strengthened.

The new flexible high-speed modules supplement the existing automatic pick and place machine to improved performance in the medium batch production. Both, the utilisation rate and the increasing capacity requirements, were the reason for the investment, at the same time giving better capability to cover the requirements of the future component sizes,  e. g. as small as 01005.

Customers will profit from the increased capacity, the newly won flexibility and the high quality.

With this investment Letron electronic continues to strategically strengthen its resources and the innovative orientation of the company.

VDE Certificate reobtained

Once again Letron obtained the Certificate of the VDE Testing and Certification Institute for the approved Place Manufacture.

This surveillance is performed according to the Harmonized Factory Inspection Procedure-Requirements-(CIG 021 bis 024) in the product Category Power supply for IT-Equipment.

The requirements have been fulfilled.
